Mission & History

Who We Are
Since 1997, Guardian House has served as a safe haven for children and families navigating high-conflict separations and domestic violence. Through a wide range of therapeutic services, we work to break cycles of generational trauma, shield children from family conflict, and foster environments where healing and growth can take root.
We are committed to:
- Shielding children from exposure to family conflict
- Preventing family violence
- Promoting positive parenting practices and healthy relationships
- Keeping children and families safely connected
Our Values
How We Help
At Guardian House, we support families navigating high-conflict situations by offering trauma-informed services that prioritize safety, emotional well-being, and healthy relationships.
Parents
We help parents strengthen their relationships with their children through:
- Supervised Visitation – Safe, structured visits in a therapeutic setting (court-ordered)
- Monitored Kids Exchanges – Neutral, safe transfers for families who cannot have direct contact
- Mental Health Counseling – Individual, couples, family, and reunification counseling available by self-referral or court order
- Parenting Education – Evidence-based classes (Triple P, Shared Parenting, Cooperative Parenting and Family Transitions) to support positive parenting and co-parenting
Children & Teens
We center the needs of children by providing:
- Safe, welcoming spaces during supervised visits and exchanges
- Age-appropriate activities from infants to teens
- Individual and family counseling to support healing and healthy development
Legal Professionals
We work closely with family courts, attorneys, and judges to ensure families are connected with the services they need in a safe, trauma-informed environment.
Community Partners
We collaborate with local nonprofits and service providers to connect families with resources and strengthen support networks across our community.
