Angels At My Side

As I lay here in the darkness and the silence starts to set in,
I hear the breathing of two laying on either side of me their sleep about to begin.

A final sigh from her as she cuddles up to me in her gentle way.
Restless is he as he tries to find his comfortable place next to me where he will stay.

Soon all is quiet and I lay here with an angel on my left and an angel on my right,
Three hearts beating in unison three souls breathing connected for eternity this night.

I hold in my arms the greatest gifts bestowed on to me that I forever cherish,
Love multiplied by three is the bond that we share as one for life and never shall it perish.

To close my eyes I hesitate for I do not wish this moment to cease,
My heart is full of love and joy this night though my soul is finally at ease.

I wonder to myself as I watch them sleep am I in their dreamland at this moment and time,
Is it possible that I may fall asleep and we will be joined in their dreams or mine.

No nightmares to haunt me this night no need for fears to creep inside my mind,
For I am in the presence of unconditional undying love with Angels At My Side.
